School Curriculum | Overview
The school curriculum is based on The New Zealand Curriculum. It is designed to provide children with the skills and dispositions that enable them to “develop sharp minds, strong bodies and good hearts”. Inquiry learning provides the framework for curriculum delivery. Appropriate emphasis is given to building literacy and numeracy skills as the foundation for the child-led learning. The curriculum is also built on the school’s Guiding Principles of Practice and Performance Goals.
The Lead Teacher is responsible for Curriculum Planning and ensuring teachers are implementing effective programmes to ensure at least 87% of students are achieving at or above the National Standards.
As active members of the wider community we have a strong commitment to evaluation and are developing future pathways for educational success for Pasifika and Maori.
